Bangor Business School

Bangor Business School is an innovative and fast-growing business school located in Bangor University. In the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise (RAE), the School achieved the top ranking in the Accounting and Finance ubject area. The excellent research and teaching environment is reflected in growing student demand at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. A new £14 million Management Centre was opened in September 2007 to cater for this demand. The School is currently embarking upon a major expansion programme aimed at consolidating its research, teaching and other strengths.
Bangor Business School invites applications for several posts in the areas of Business, Management and Marketing. Candidates with expertise in any of these disciplines are invited to apply. Appointments may be made at the levels of Chair, Senior Lecturer or Lecturer.
Candidates for appointment at the level of Senior Lecturer must be able to demonstrate a record of some internationally excellent research, significant university teaching experience, international esteem and a record of achievement and/or potential for research grant capture.
The successful candidates will contribute to the School's research profile by developing and carrying out a programme of research for publication in leading international academic journals, support current and new teaching activities within the School, and undertake administrative duties as directed by the Head of School.
It is expected that those appointed will take up their posts as soon as possible.

We are seeking to recruit committed and enthusiastic individuals who can contribute to the broad portfolio of marketing modules delivered, at undergraduate, postgraduate and professional levels: experience of teaching International Marketing, Buyer Behaviour, Marketing Research or Marketing Communications particularly advertising strategy and media planning would be particularly beneficial.
You will have previous lecturing and module leadership experience and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills. The Faculty of Business, Environment and Society is expanding significantly and we currently have vacancies in the Coventry University Business School, one of Europe's largest business schools.
We are looking to appoint a new member of staff to our already vibrant and expanding Marketing and Advertising Department. You will teach at both under and postgraduate levels in the areas of Marketing and Advertising and contribute to our growing applied research output and/or consultancy activities.
Having achieved considerable growth we are looking for a colleague to lead the next stage of development of the advertising elements of our courses. You are likely to have significant specialist experience of teaching applied advertising and/or communications in a HE type setting.
In addition to having significant relevant teaching experience, preference will be given to candidates who have a PhD and relevant outcomes.
The successful candidate is expected to contribute towards teaching marketing research and marketing strategy to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
